Near-north Ontario, French River | There is no quick fix to the Chinese deficit, nor will it be solved through any type of trade deal, tariffs etc... the solution is the CONSUMER. I've stated this so many times on this site its getting tiring. Until the CONSUMER decides that the cheapest, easiest product isn't what the desire, the trade imbalance will never sort it self out. If the CONSUMER would simply stop buying Chinese 'junk' ( and Im not just talking plastic toys, think of all the low quality chinese bearings , gearboxes etc that you see everyday on farms etc) the trade deficit would begin to sort it out. It's going to be a 25-30 yr process...and it will lead to higher domestic prices . |
