Near-north Ontario, French River | Agreed... with one caveat.. Neither side is there for a fight, its just political posturing but have that much firepower in relatively small space increases the risk of an accidenta; confrontation. All its going to take is for a jet to fly just a little too close to a ship who's crew is on edge.. Lets face it the Chinese don't have one of the better records for following rules and the US navy has had it fair share of 'accidents'/screw ups/etc in the last few years. One misinterpreted move could heat things up very quickly. having said all that I think the risk of an actual incident are extremely small. |
