Nevada, Iowa | Higher domestic prices are what started all of this. Wages, insurance, unions and government regulations priced our products out of reach. Now, they'd rather protest than work here.
I am also not sure the term "chinese junk" really applies so well these days either. There is plenty of domestic junk built too.
Don't get me wrong, I am not in favor of giving all of our trade to China but I think we have to realize that to a certain extent they have beat us at our own game and it is not something that the consumer will change without a ton of intervention. You are !00% correct in assuming it will not happen quickly though. | |
