Subject: Will Cover Crops plug new Tile lines?

SE South Dakota
We have a field of oats that we’re gonna chop next week. Plan was to put cover crop in after and then tile the field... I’m starting to get cold feet right now about the cover crops going straight down where we ran the plow and getting in the tile lines. Should I be worried or am I being being overly paranoid? The covers would be grazed this fall winter.

Is it too early, will the roots go to deep? If I need to, can I stop or slow the root growth by gazing it off earlier? Are there certain species of covers I should avoid that are know to plug tile lines?

Thanks for any help
