39.48, -82.98 | I read about the potential new strain of flu a few days ago. Here we go again. But at least we all have some exposure to influenza and we know how to make vaccines for it...if we can just get people to take them.
As to the positive test, well things are a bit of a mess at the moment. Sometimes, positives from nasal swabs (active cases) are getting tossed in with positives from antibody tests (recovered cases).
It could be argued that it is correct to place those test results in June, since that is when they were observed. I would hope the record shows they contacted the doctor in March, complaining of COVID-like symptoms. And I hope that if they are ever tested again that they won't be counted twice.
But, as I say, things are a little confused at present. If nothing else, this has been a valuable pressure check for our emergency medical system. We should be better prepared for the next pandemic.
When will it stop? It won't. | |
