Subject: RE: New potential pandemic

North Dakota
Historically very few pandemics have originated in the United States or Canada(or what is now the US and Canada).

China on the other hand has been and is currently a large cauldron of incubation.

1640’s/1910/1946. Bubonic Plague
1910. Manchurian Plague
1956. Asian Flu
1968. Hong Kong Flu
1977. Russian Flu
2002. SARS
2020. Covid 19

There are some other probables including Avian Flu amongst others. So if we are supposed to wear a mask to protect ourselves and others should we not limit exposure to a country that is the originator of a virus that currently is causing death and destruction throughout the world? A country that lied and continues to lie about its incidence and spread? If the US was an originator of the next pandemic would you advocate leaving the borders open and have business as usual? Are not the borders between our respective countries currently closed to nonessential traffic because of Covid19?
