iF fats get below the COG (80 cents for the sake of discussion). Cattle feeders will strive to make them smaller , not bigger. Feeders would then get as cheap as fats or cheaper so there would be no point in making feeders bigger. Unweaned bawling calves would be a large discount to fats because there would be no motive to buy one otherwise. 60 cent 5 wt bawling calves would provide no reason to keep an undesirable cow so they could all get dead. I’m not predicting it or hoping for it but I wouldn’t rule it out either. Been a long time since there was a great awakening in the cattle sector.
$300 for a 5 weight baller would have everyone out of business, uncle Donny would be shoveling money at us faster than we could spend it to avoid the taxes, we are living in an equal outcome economy, nobody is going to get rich and nobody is going to fail, and if you start getting ahead of the pack you'll be taxed to death |
