sw ontario | Anybody have thoughts on hog report this week....Our marketing board divison sent out a copy of what analyst Bert Caputo , RBC thought -synopsis- summer really bad, no real recovery until end of last 1/4 , then better 2021 ( like we have heard that before).....more hogs on feed than expected , more big summer hogs (so was all the euthanization talk overdone).............Hog economics for this week --Packer gross margin -$41.28 cdn ,, producer side average producer -($48.04 ) loss , excellent production( $26.53) loss...........With present hog mkt. prices corn & soymeal for feed doesn't look to be too cheap.......Something we ALL have to remember is land & machinery prices are very strong so there is options to do something else | |
