only thing you are netting is the carry...you expect the carry to widen as price goes down. Its the same as playing the spreads...but the added hope is that basis will improve in the delevery month..
Sounds like a home run but its not as great if the spreads don't move and you have interest and storage to pay for.
Not so Concerned about 2020.....but 2021.......
