The local basis does have some say in this, but when figuring what to contract I base off of what I could cover with crop insurance. Right now in this area we could have good yields come fall, but probably low prices too. Last year was a tough go with some PP. Glad I priced a little 2020 corn though, as that is a much better price than current levels.
