Subject: RE: Ryegrass again

Western Ohio; Eastern Indiana
It’s my opinion that no one should use ryegrass with non gmo corn until they have a few years of experience. I’ve used ryegrass for 15 years and I still wouldn’t do it with nongmo. Capreno and atrazine is the best I can offer. Depending on how thick it is...

In the future, and I know you stated there won’t be a ryegrass future!!.... never plant ryegrass until at least 36 hours after you have sprayed it......

When you planted into it you damaged the plants and cut off and covered leave matter that was necessary to absorb roundup.... in my experience you can’t successfully spray for at least two weeks after planting.... and your hurting your corn if you wait that long... always spray it first and allow enough time for the glyphosate to translocate to the roots before being damaged.
