Paccar is independent. No parent company owns paccar. Navistar defense, IC school buses, ECT, is no different. Should paccar get rid of the name Peterbilt or Kenworth? Like McCormick or deering? Why is their stock price a third of paccar? Cause Navistar has baggage. You're trying to act like they are superior on all products. Paccar has THE highest resale of any heavy duty truck. Navistar has probably the worst, especially if you average the last 10 years. The maxforce will haunt Navistar for years. Deere developed their own construction and industrial line by modifying their ag tractors. Jesse Lindeman a John Deere dealer, helped them develop their crawler line. I get it, you love IH. Your arguments are silly. IH chose to milk the farm equipment division to grow other businesses. That was a mistake. The 4010 put IH on the ropes, and the 4020, 30 series, 40 series, the 50 series with their caster action mfwd and 15 speed single lever powershift were the punches that knocked them out. They gave up on farm equipment. Tenneco bought Case in the 60s. Then Fiat bought them both. Deere is Deere. John Deere's name is still on the side of the company. Long after Cyrus Hall McCormick and Charles Deering and Jerome Increase Case don't. Between the CJ series and the wagoneers, Willy's developed the SUV. What's funny is you guys think that IH is the underdog and Deere is the Goliath, when it's the opposite. Deere is the little farm equipment company that could.
