ND
IH merged several companies to be IH.

To my knowledge, no. JD bought the Waterloo tractor where IH bought/made a frame and stuck a engine on it. IH construction started the same way before they bought out another company.

Last I heard Komosatu is still around.

"Clean sound proof cab"? Explain.

Navistar IH is still number one in medium through severe last I checked which was last week, both in sales and production, with boughts with Freightliner every now and then over medium duty. Also busses.

IH was the 4th largest company in North America in 1985. No agriculture company comes close today.

Edit: also forgot they they had a articulated line before buying 40% of Steiger.
