Also change up varieties,do you see plants struggling at all with moisture ? This can lead to cukes being off flavored.I realize its a hard year to get different seed but try.You know those little packets are not the best seed out there.Those are the ones commercial guys dont use.Put some poop on your garden next fall.


You sound like you know how to grow squash so my question is why are the winter squash we buy in stores and markets often watery when cooked? They also seem too sweet in some cases.
Too much fertilizer and irrigation is my guess.
