You won't get an answer. Ethanol plant was built by me roughly 15 years ago. 6 river terminals within about 5 miles and another couple if you widen that out to 10 miles. Everyone thought for sure that a few, if not most were gonna be run out of town. 15 years later all but one is still open and taking corn. The one that was closed was a Cargill location and they just had a much larger/newer setup directly across the river. Figure that had more to do with upkeep on a small, aging facility. All that said, I'd love to hear some names of terminals that have closed up due to ethanol.
