No kidding. Dairy/beef/pork/poultry have all been expanding substantially in this area for the last 20 years, along with ethanol! (Gasp). Last time I looked, 40% of the US corn crop goes through an ethanol plant. There is no way that livestock production can take up that that slack. I doubt grain exports will do much either. Killing ethanol and getting a bunch of gov’t money for set aside is not a viable long term plan.
