Rawlins County Kansas
Hmmm..

The 20/20 manual states the following:

John Deere GS2 (2600) with Starfire iTc Receiver
Required Hardware:
• PF90350 harness from John Deere. ($143)
• 725268 GPS serial adapter from Precision Planting. (With attached Null Modem)
Steps to Configure GS2:
1. Connect the null modem adapter to the 9 pin output of the John Deere PF90350 harness.
2. Go to the GS2 GPS Configuration page.
3. Set the GP output to 1 Hz, and 4800 baud.
4. Select GPS strings GGA and RMC.

And it sounds like you are setting things up like this. Dumb question, are you sure that your in-cab harnesses are getting NMEA strings from the Itc? I ask because in a normal GreenStar Ready cab, JD has opted to save a few pennies and not put the necessary two wires in the harness to bring serial from the gps to the cab. On my setup, I plug a Y-harness (from JD) into the gps at the reciever and then run it over the top of the cab and bring it in through a window grommet. I use this to provide NMEA to my Insight. Someday, I'll just pull the cab roof off and fish these two wires through the harness.

I'm guessing you'll have to work through PP and JD to get this fixed. It sure sounds like a data overload problem (or a garbled data problem) like I used to fight when trying to run SiteMate on an Ipaq with NMEA from a Starfire.

Good luck and let us know what you get figured out.
