Like others say, that switch works great for activating monitors, whether it's a PF3000 or an Insight. There's probably already 1-2 of them on your 1770 units. Just have the parts man get another for you.


As Ron has stated a Deere planter may already have some of these switches on them for Deere's purposes.

We have had people asking to use the switch that's already there for a second purpose. In many cases this could probaby work but I have avoided doing this.

You can be sure if you have some type of problem with the planter, the Deere folks will jump on the fact that you have used the switch for something else. Yes, it may work just fine but I shy away from that thought to avoid "cross contamination" if you will between two systems".
