I regularly shop at Giant, a regional grocery store.  It is owned by Ahold - at least as far as I know it is. Actually, if I understand correctly, there are two different Giant chains, and I think both are owned by Ahold.

Scroll down thru the Ahold webpage link, and it will show which brands in the USA are owned by Ahold.  Interesting. I knew Ahold owned Giant brands. I didn't realize they owned some of the other brands as well.
