There's no doubt that sleep deprivation and anxiety/stress weaken the immune system. If one listens to every newscast these days it's pretty easy to see why people could become stressed out. Best thing is to be informed and selectively pick your sources that are not sensationalized news.....not easy to do.

Will regards to who this virus can infect that would be all of us unless we have the antibodies. We will all react to the virus differently but it's clear that we can be silent carriers prior to any symptoms showing. With regards to populations most affected by the symptoms it's clear the older you are over 50 and those that have compromising health conditions are more likely to have severe symptoms. As we know those are true trends based on hospitalizations and mortalities to this point. That being said in our state we had a 7 week old baby pass away this past week from the disease and on the news I saw an elderly gentleman that kicked COVID-19, and a Spanish Flu and WW2 veteran, celebrate his 104th birthday.

This coronavirus situation is new to almost all of us. Because of that it's taken a bit of time to wrap our heads around what this is and how it affects us in different areas of the country. The reaction to the problem is just that it is trying to put policies and activities in place to solve, or react to, a growing existing problem. It's important at this stage for the authorities and ourselves to get ahead of this and proactively solve the anticipated problems that lie ahead. Different regions of the country can learn from each other and help each other during this pandemic. My expectation is that we will learn from this and plan ahead for a "next" time which will certainly happen. There is an opportunity to make changes in the years ahead to make us more prepared and nationally self sufficient.

Stay safe.
