NC MO | Have had the same problem with our 8120 and 8010 before.
We replaced the chain about a year and a half ago and haven't had a problem since, but we did tighten it tighter than before, and tighter than what we thought it should be. Also after we did all this we had a Case tech tell us that sometimes with these machines if you pull something up in the feeder house and tweek the chain a little it will have a tendency to try to jump out of line from then on. He said if you want to try to realign it: get it straight, loosen all the bolts in the slats, run it slow, then tighten all the bolts back up. We never tried this as we had already replaced our chain and haven't had any more problems with it since, but it kind of made sense to me. Good luck, let me know how it works if you decide to try it. Might want to use it in the future if we have this problem again rather than replacing another chain. | |
