My 9120 is having a issue where it’s jumping the chain on the drive (LH) side. The front drum rolls true, bearings are good. 100 hours on a new drive sprocket. The old chain had MAYBE 300 hours on it. Put a new chain on and it jumped sometime today again. The tension setup had wore into the feeder house just slightly, I built it back and and ground it out smooth.
Nothing stands out as obviously wrong, where should I start looking?
Also just installed new wear strips on the rock beater.
Had a similar problem on another brand of combine. Slats would get bent and then the corn cobs would lift the chain enough for it to slip a notch. Solution, remove all the aftermarket slats and reinstall factory slats. Aftermarket slats looked equal to factory but were not nearly as tough. May not be applicable to your situation. |
