Don't recall anything less than all out rescue efforts going on. My brother in law was down there rebuilding power lines for 6 weeks straight working his ass off.

LMAO. it took Bush Jr forever to send help. Don’t you remember the FEMA fiasco?


Lots of things were done wrong in Katrina, none of which was Bush’s fault. Evacuation order given late, no drivers for the buses (there were 100’s flooded in NOLA, never used), locals didn’t heed the warning, didn’t have food and water for a week. The local attitudes were that someone supposed to come and take care of me and the criminal element stayed intentionally waiting on the opportunity to loot to name a few. Add that to the fact much of Nola is below sea level and once the levees broke, wasn’t much anyone could do. Corp of engineers tried to patch breeches with air drops from choppers but to no avail.
So, tell me what the feds were supposed to do?
