Subject: RE: Direct cutting dry beans

Western N.Y. but I’ve heard of Dan from the combine forum. Not many gleaners or dry beans around here anymore, but used to be a lot. A neighbor direct cut some a couple years ago as it got too wet to run Pickett and he thought he got 75% of them. Being it was December and they were cultivated not rolled I thought that was really good. The quality was also good using just a stock R65 and auger flex head. Thinking if we rolled them and using a Draper that will shave the ground we could get 90% of them if they don’t shell out bad, but maybe I’m wrong
