We sold our Pickett bean combine to a guy that was direct cutting those I believe. He was very meticulous but still ended up needing a bean combine. Pintos and blacks generally work well direct cutting. Navy’s are possible but have higher cutter bar loss and can have more issues with checked seed coats as well

If you contract them, the contract might even state that direct harvesting isn’t allowed.
