This conversation just made me realize another thing that has changed with my diet. I used to have a regular dry cough. Cough for what seemed like no reason at all. Visiting friends last summer in Seattle she is a nurse and noticed I did not have the dry cough any more. When she found out I had gotten off blood pressure medicine, she said that likely was the source of the dry cough. Some BP medicines can cause a dry hack with some people. I never knew that. I also have much less problems with congestion in my chest and a lot less seasonal alergies that always had my head stuffed up. I have came to the personal conclusion that NO prescription medicine comes without side effects. The side effects may be worth whatever improvement a person gains. But I am a lot more leery of just blindly taking whatever pill a doctor prescribes like I used to be. Did I mention the ketogenic diet gave me my life back? John |
