The Packers have been price gouging for years and continue to get away with it. We fatten the cattle for well over a year or more and lucky to make $50 dollar a profit a head, And right now the packers are probably clearing $700 a head profit handling the cattle for what a couple of weeks. Someone keeps getting paid off with deep pockets higher up and the farmers continue to go broke, nothing will change except more broke farmers, just the way it is now and no one cares, With the cattle farmers luck the packers will get a big bailout and the feeders will get nothing, No different then being a crop farmer with a crop insurance policy for protection and being a cattle feeder when you go out and find a dead animal and you are SOL. Get crapped on from both angles.
