| I don’t like this at all. This isn’t going to fix prices. We need more/better cash negotiators that don’t puke at the first sh!tball bid they’re thrown because of the “awesome basis” I get that it makes money but it’s not an excuse to take a crap bid. It takes leverage away from the other feeders that are actually trying to negotiate. Instead of tying live prices to the CME they ought to be tied to the box beef. Then we would actually get paid a fair amount and wouldn’t be so reliant upon hedges and basis to eek by with a profit. | |
