central mn
Before Agrotain was available a mix of ammonium sulfate and urea was how I topdressed urea without it being incorporated. Was told it worked to stabilize nitrogen by agronomists at the time. When I would apply heavier amounts I thought I could smell ammonia on the fields longer than I cared for. With that said I have no info on how it works and would recommend an Agrotain like product for stabilizing the nitrogen instead.
