Subject: low carb dessert

Pittsburg, Kansas
Ice cream was one of my downfalls too.

What wife and I do now for that little treat after dinner is a small bowl (like maybe 6 ounces) of full fat plain yogurt with the whey drained off to reduce sugar even more, a square of shaved 85% chocolate, a few blueberries, three chopped Brazil nuts with cinnimon and nutmeg sprinkled on top.

Just enough "desert" to satisfy us. Blueberries give it just a "pop" of sweet once in a while yet are fairly low in sugar, the Brazil nuts give us our selenium for the day and add nice mouth feel crunch, the spices give some complexity of flavor.

When we are home, we actually make our own yogurt out of heavy whipping cream. High fat, almost no sugar. But don't have the InstantPot down here so too much trouble.
