| Another thought that we looked into with our family is having your Mother put it in a trust. Appoint a trustee to overlook the business end. In the trust a family member can be given the right to farm the ground as long as she or he wants. All rent is paid to the the trustee which pays taxes, insurance, upkeep such as fencing, land improvements etc. The remaining profit is distributed to the beneficiaries. That way the farm stays in the family and non farming siblings also profit from the farm. | |
