Subject: 10-4 on that one.......

New pulleys and belts are in order. The new ones I got from cnh had an adaptor with the water pump pulley. They are way more heavy duty and I believe they are cast instead of the stock pressed steel. I also repleced the alt pulley at the same time. The damper should be checked every day, and if any rubber is starting to fray outwards, it needs to be replaced that morning.

The air screen may also be the drain plug is missing in the air box behind the inspection door.

The sound of the engine reving up and down is the thermostat opening and closing. If the temp sender and guage are in good order, you can even see the temp difference when it makes the noise.

The low idle screw on the pump needs to be adjusted and the cable needs to be adjusted to so they both work together to get the engines proper rpm range. Should be able to get the engine to idle at 900 easily and run at 2750.
