One thing I did discover in all this was the sinus rinsing products that should come in handy when pollen season hits hard. I'd used the squeeze-bottle flushing approach in the past but didn't realize until I got home from surgery that there were aerosol products that can do a good job of flushing crud out of the sinuses. If I were out in the field all the time I'd carry that stuff with me.
