South Central MN | Grass hay like road ditch or meadow can get by without a conditioner that stuff seems to dry fast, but with alfalfa we ran a conditioner those stems need to be broke open it seems to dry down, can be the difference of getting it up before a rain, we have cut alfalfa without a conditioner when our haybine broke down with a 3 point disc mower and it took longer for it to dry.
