| I'll counter that a little bit with some our situation in the East. I know a merchandiser south and west of me from back in my elevator days that worked a co-op grinding 30k a day. They're the small potatoes in that area, and there are 2 other larger feed mills and 5 ethanol plants within a 30 mile radius. Total pull area to there is about 150 miles in any direction. There are also a couple shuttle loaders just east of there. He says they're not worried about corn supply until after the first of the year as long as guys will bring it to them (i.e. gotta get guys opening the bin doors). A lot of excess corn is in the eastern belt right now after a good crop2 years ago and great crop last year. | |
