We did that to a 30X40 pole shed 30 years ago that was my FIL shop that had a 10 foot door which was plenty when he built it 10 years earlier. We did all the work and it was a big job. We jacked the building up dug down and poured footing and then lay'd block off the footing out of the ground and up to raise the building four more feet than it was and mounted the poles on top of the blocks with brackets I made. We installed a 14 door when we were done. I won't do it again but the FIL didn't want to build a new shop but wanted to get his JD 4440 in his shop even though I did all his work at my shop that has a 16 door in it. BIL is still using the building today. I hope the project goes well.
