Guess I'll go against the grain here because I don't blanch my beans before freezing. If you don't want to put all your eggs (beans) in one basket, at least TRY my method on a small portion of your beans. Just pick them and have them cleaned the way that you would if you were going to put them up another way...… put them in a COTTON pillow case and toss them in the freezer and forget about them until you get some out to fix. Make sure you DON'T thaw them before cooking... Go straight from the freezer into your boiling water (or whatever). These taste just fine , are simple, and I don't think they are that mushy. Please try this, if even on a small amount. I bet you'll give up on all the other ways of boiling and canning LOL.
