Central Texas | I know we are in a completely different environment and such, but we routinely harvest corn at well under 15% moisture. We consider 100 bushels a good crop too. I've never seen losses anywhere near what you're saying. Our corn usually burns up before we harvest so we're well versed on dry and brittle stalks. I don't know what your fields and such are like, but after harvest we'll have some volunteer corn come up but it's nowhere near that kind of loss. | |
