| since i live real close to Eau Claire where Menards is headquartered and where it all started from, the closest Menards store is just 8 miles away. there will never be a Lowes or Home Depot in Eau claire as long as John Menard is alive, everytime the subject comes up about either one wanting to build a store here John tells the city council if they allow it he will close down the distribution center/headquarters and move it someplace else along with the 4000+ jobs it provides for the area.
Menards is open after 5pm and on weekends, cant say that for the mom and pop lumber yard. | |
