E.Central MN | When Menards came to our small town I thought it might be rough on the local lumber yard. But they said it wouldn't bother them because they preferred working with contractors. And from past experience that pretty much reinforces my opinion of the lumber yards. They basically want customers with monthly accounts that call them up, know what they want, order truck loads of materials, tell them where to deliver it and when they're done with that job they order material for the next job. Everyone else can just go to Menards, etc. I guess when Menards built a store here you could say it was a win/win for both of them. | |
