I hope my post didn't come across as negative of the Crazy Horse project, my point was intended to point out that finishing the carving doesn't appear to be the priority. I enjoy the place and in fact enjoy most tourist traps, if that is how a person wants to label them. Keystone is as "tourist trappy" as a small town can get and I make a point to stop there every time I'm in the Black Hills :-). I agree with what you have said other than the family is still doing most of the work on the mountain... that is no longer the case. Almost all have moved on to other things.
If you were at last years Volksmarch we were most likely standing near each other. If another Volksmarch is in your future let me know and we can probably meet up! Kevin | |
