He got banged up quite a bit. No helmet, but didn't have any head injuries.
I've been riding since 71 and my kids and I got to talking. Oldest was on a rant about the no helmet (even tho he didn't have a head injury), youngest is a RN, the Dr's always told her when dealing with helmet vs none, the extra weight of the helmet led to higher spine injuries.
That led us to checking some stats. For the state of FL, in 13 and 14, there were more rider deaths of those wearing a helmet vs those not wearing one. | |
