Big Sky Country
cutting core , you want to keep steady pressure.

bit price sounds high. (if I'm right in thinking 2" or so core, forget the letter)

don't need returns, but do need fluid to bit.

nice to see a tad of returns, so you know it's getting there.

to 'hard digging' of a bit, and it won't cut mush, transition zones. sometimes you can shut water off for bit and melt the matrix a tad or beat it up with a file when you pull it. nice to have core barrels you can wire line out, but also kinda a pain on small string. last exploration drilling I did was reverse circ, w air. blasting out 1,000 footers in a day and december days, so had to drain up and warm up.

too 'soft' bit and anything hard with eat it up.

buy yourself some collapsible core boxes, gotta keep it straight. who you gonna use for a lab?

maybe google winkie drill, if you 're not familiar with them. pretty basic, we cut granite about 12 min a foot. packed it into woods with crawler loader, but all pieces prob 200# or less
