Mid Michigan | I usually come back with the comment: when I get too old and weak to work on my old vehicles and farm equipment I might have to buy something newer. Until then don't feel sorry for me. I like to know that I still have some usefullness on keeping things running. Keeping our skills up is what keeps us going. If we buy off every challenge that's put before us life can get a bit pointless. I just got done doing some body work on my pickup and it looks great again. Could go down and plop down $40,000 on a new one but it seems senseless to me at this point. The day is coming soon enough when I won't be able to crawl around and work on hobbies so I don't want to speed the process up any. You don't want to lose your edge on mechanical skills. | |
