Can you insure the beans at your normal coverage?

You are required to insure those beans. Keep in mind, that you have to wait the 20 days after the corn final plant date to plant the beans. This will likely put the beans past the final plant date for full coverage. So, if June 5 is your corn final plant date then you can't plant the beans until June 25. If June 20 is your final soybean plant date and you lose 1% coverage per day then your coverage on the beans has dropped 5% and will drop an additional 1% per day every day after June 25. Another thing to keep in mind is that in this scenario a corn yield of 60% of your aph will be plugged into your yield data base whereas if nothing is harvested, your aph is unaffected. All in all, especially this year with depressed bean prices, this may not be the best plan. Clear as mud, Right?
