| Yes, you can receive 35% of you prevent plant payment in corn if you switch the acreage to soybeans after the 20 day late planting window which follows the final plant date. Very wordy, you can see how this gets confusing.
Best bet is to talk to an adjuster or agent to determine what rules will apply to your particular situation.
Edit to add: I adjust on the side, but in all seriousness, talk to your agent or adjuster if you're contemplating taking prevent plant. Its a complex issue and is part of a government regulated program. You don't want to end up on the wrong side of an audit.
