| Yes you can insure the beans. The only caveat is that your coverage on those beans is reduced a percent per day after the soybean final plant date until they are planted.
For example, 85% Revenue Protection on Corn/Soybeans
Corn final plant date is June 5
Soybean final plant date is June 15.
You can prevent corn and plant soybeans on or after June 26, you will receive 35% payment on corn prevent plant. You can choose to insure the soybeans or not. Whatever decision needs to be discussed with your insurance company. If you insure your soybeans the coverage level is reduced 10% (85% >>> 75%) due to being planted 10 days after soybean final plant date (If you go out there on June 26)
