If your dealing with moist soil my choice would be a drill with a no till coulter . They work better in moist soil . If your planting in good to dry John Deere would be best . A John Deere in wet conditions leaves a smeared slot that does not close well and if it turns dry after , leaves you pretty much screwed . Jim Kinsella used to say if your field is 80%(if this number is wrong , somebody correct me) fit , you need to be planting . Now keep in mind he was a Tye drill proponent . Simple No Till coulter followed by drill . You are dealing with wet like everybody else my choice would be a coulter/drill .
