| I had 4 old tractor tires, 20.8-42's,
We are trying this out this year for my mother...hard for her to stoop over and her garden really got taken over by weeds the past two years due to dad being sick and passing, then her health last year.
We was going to use totes, and still might with a couple.
I used a sawzall with a fine tooth blade and 409 with Dawn dish soap as a lubricant and that really worked slick to cut out the side wall, I cut it back as far as wear the tread bars started, maybe a little more
we are experimenting, one we stacked one tire on top of the other, then the other 2, just the single tires.
I filled with top soil, thru in some leftover sand I had laying around, some cow manure, old straw, and be are going to blend it in good and hopefully plant soon, been so wet and cold, that we could not even get garden started. I have some old large windows, that we might lay across to help warm things up...
