We use poly feed bunks that we pick up at farm auctions for a few bucks. We plant green onions, lettuce , parsley, and radishes in them and it works well. The only draw back is you have to water them almost every day in the summer due to the shallow depth of the soil in the bunk. Still plant winter squash, pumpkins, tomatoes peppers on flat ground with black plastic and drip line underneath.
